About Therapy

I care about You.

The adult who holds so much love inside their heart but still feels lonely and tells themselves they don’t know how or can’t express it.

I care about You, the individual who wants more for themself yet still feels haunted by past hurts.

I’m here to let you know I care when you repeat statements like, “Talking about it won’t help. Why bother. No one can help.”

I know the courage it takes to step out of that strange comfort zone you find yourself in, although deep down, you’re screaming for change. Well, I’m here, and I care about You, your past, present, and future!

Throughout the years, I’ve supported clients with panic attacks so severe they wake up at night in sweats or hyperventilating. I’ve assisted clients experiencing depressive episodes in understanding that there is more to their story than just those symptoms. I’ve had the privilege to collaborate with clients in shifting their adult relationships with their loved ones, allowing clients to experience a deeper connection to their loved ones.

Shifting and expanding are possible. You CAN choose more for yourself. You CAN access and enjoy a different way of living.

Are you tired of pretending?

You tell your loved ones you’re just tired, stressed, or taking ‘time to yourself.’ You might even post a picture of a recent outing where you were craving to be home, alone, in the darkness of your room but yet smiled in the picture while adding you had a great time but were just ‘tired.’

But there’s a silver lining here:

When you don’t know where to go, what to do… or even who you are anymore… it’s the perfect time to explore YOU!

You want to be seen, heard, and understood.

Symptoms of anxiety, depression, or other emotions and feelings can lead to recurrent cycles of pending doom that invite shame, judgment, or guilt. All this while telling yourself that others won’t understand – they often repeat, “You have nothing to worry about. You’re just getting carried away or exaggerating.”

You’ve reached a point where staying quiet became your best option to avoid feeling unheard, misunderstood, or unseen. You’ve given up on answering, “Why can’t they get it? Why can’t they see me and what I’m really going through?”

Maybe you’ve considered talk therapy…

But it sounds boring…

… or maybe you’re questioning if it’ll make a difference.

Let me guess: There’s a little voice inside your head that keeps coming up with reason after reason why you shouldn’t reach out.

It’s draining… I know.

I promise I won’t bite or scare you as you walk down the hall. Many clients come in feeling nervous and then share how excited they feel to come back for their first session. My style involves us having a conversation about what you want to share, nothing more or less. You are always in charge. There are no wrong answers or shares. You hold the key, not me. I honor that.

From the moment you walk into my space…

It’s all about getting to know you better – what you like and dislike… what you want and don’t want… what does and doesn’t serve your best life.

When you’re here, I want to honor you. That’s why parking is free! 🙂

I have decorated my office as a quaint living room, indulging your sense of smell with candle scents or aromatic oils. I adore color, so expect to sit in a velvet purple love seat or a bright yellow sofa chair with pink cushions.

If you’re open to Reiki or regressions, we’ll use the massage table decorated with natural gemstones. I’ll also offer you comforting sounds, like those from my drum and Native American rattles.

The dim lighting will also welcome you in, reminding you that this is your safe space.

Guess what?! We won’t “work” at anything.

Work sounds like a 9 to 5, which is not my intention for you. You are right about where and how you ‘need’ to be to explore and facilitate your expansion. All we’ll do is share, laugh, cry, and address topics of relevance to you.

That’s not work. That’s you shifting focus and just practicing perspective shifting. The rest unfolds naturally.

I offer you play, laughter, and a space where you can simply be you – just as you are now – which is perfect.

I’ll listen to you deeply as we explore who you are and what you want out of life.

At times, we’ll use role-play exercises where my voice will represent anyone you’d like. We’ll experiment with statements that expand your ability to cast magical spells for you. I’ll listen closely to what you share during our gatherings to remind you of your strengths and skill set as you redefine your options.

Here’s what I want for you…

More comfort, peace, power, resilience, fearlessness, and confidence!

At intake, we’ll address a plan of action that feels right for you. After that, each time we meet, you will be offered different exercises to facilitate your practice of heart-consciousness listening.

Depending on what we address each session, I will offer a meditation, breathing, grounding, or visualization exercise. I also present you with intention-focused questions that allow your mind-heart and body to share information that usually remains unspoken.

Reiki is a great option to tap into your stillness if you are interested in alternative modalities. At the same time, I offer hand movements that access universal life force energy for your delight. You don’t even have to talk or do anything during a Reiki session. Furthermore, as part of alternative approaches, you can also experience an age regression to have the opportunity to redefine past moments from a third-person perspective. Chakra balancing, which intends to release stress from your chakras, is also a service I can provide.

Now you know, I’m more than therapy. You can also expect me to continue adding tools to my offerings. Soon, I’ll be yoga certified and also offering Psych-K sessions.

About Me

There is NOTHING you can’t tell me…

I’ve been doing this for a long time (two decades and happily counting!).

I’ve had the honor of working with so many different populations… surprising me is difficult. I’ve supported adults who have been previous gang members to process feelings of guilt, shame, and remorse for past actions. I’ve aided adults who have committed crimes in their past (domestic violence, drug charges, abuse) as they share their secrets and cry for change.

I have empowered adults to understand they are more than a divorce, infidelity, abortion, miscarriage, or breakup. I always share with clients that whatever they have done does not define them. Who they are is always more.

I’ve been to therapy, too!

I learned from couples therapy that sometimes relationship dynamics are not forever despite how ‘bad’ we might want them to be. Partners must want the same goal and strive toward it together. All is possible when goals are aligned.

From individual therapy, I’ve learned the power of reflection and repeating back to the client (a.k.a. me in this case) how my statements sound when said by someone else. Also, in both circumstances, just having that safe space to share, vent, and communicate is always so comforting.

I’m a big believer in constantly learning…

So, I’m always doing SOMETHING to expand my skill set.

I do several different certification programs throughout the year. I am currently enrolled in a two-year program that’s training me to tap more into my intuitive gifts and higher self.

I also learn from you, and that’s particularly dear to my heart!

Here are some other fun facts about me…

I’m a cat and dog mom. My cats are siblings – male and female. My girl loves to meow at everyone and always allows her brother to eat her food. My boy is overweight due to the latter, yet can climb and run like nothing!

Kali is our dog, and she swears our bed is her bed. My kitties used to sleep with us until she came along. I also think Kali believes she is a cat as she is younger than them and only knows her cat siblings.

I’m certified as a childbirth facilitator. The love for being able to support new parents as they experience so many questions and uncertainty is awesome. I became certified while working as a family coach, so it was an opportunity to complement my services.

Psychology is my passion, but I also have an MBA. It was my dad’s dream for me to obtain an MBA as he believed it would support my growth. I have grown appreciative of it as the teachings have guided my decision-making when considering strategic decisions.

I know you’re ready. I got you!
